Kenneth Tracy Sr., 91, Oblong, Illinois passed away at 8:05 a.m. Friday, August 5, 2011, at the Ridgeview Care Center, Oblong, Illinois.  Born in Annapolis, Illinois on October 30, 1919, he was the son of William W. Tracy and Lurrie Goodwin.  Kenneth was a proud U. S. Army Veteran serving during World War II from 1942 – 1945 in the Third Army serving under General George Patton. He worked for Marshall Funeral Home for many years; caster at Briggs Pottery in Robinson, Illinois; ran the Shell Station in Oblong for many years; and along with his wife “El” they made pies for people, Harmon’s and the “Q” Club.  He was a member of the Evangelical United Methodist Church, Oblong, Illinois.  He enjoyed his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

On December 21, 1942, he married Eldiva Madge Randolph, who survives.  Also surviving are four sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth & Pam Tracy Jr., Kelley & Susie Tracy, Kevin & Cindy Tracy and Kerry & Geneann Tracy; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and special friends at the Main Street Diner, Casey’s and Ridgeview Care Center.

Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents; one son, John Robert Tracy; a daughter, Patricia Ann Tracy; a grandson, Kasey Tracy and three brothers, Russell, Lyle and Murray Tracy.

Rev. Howard Bell will officiate the funeral service.  Burial will be in the Oblong Cemetery, Oblong, Illinois.
